This stunning country-side property came across our path as an initial inspection with a roof aged at 16 years. This single-story home had some obvious damage to the interior of the home that was shown to have been a result of some issues concerning the roof. As a getaway vacation home to these lovely homeowners, which are previous customers of ours that we are well acquainted with having been the ones to replace the roof of their main home. This home away from home in Richmond, TX was an interesting case. Being known as a historical home in the city of Richmond, the homeowners had an application process to obtain assistance with this replacement that took a bit of time before the transaction was fully received and implemented. Amid the recent COVID-19 pandemic, the allowance from the city took triple the amount of time to be administered. With full understanding, we were able to stand by the homeowners throughout this process and move forward in completing their roofing project with the options they had available. Knowing the approved shingle application methods allowed for this project, we assisted in also re-framing the back porch and low slope area of the home, finding the best possible pricing opportunities available. This single-story shingled home had an original roof from 2003. Having had some issues with his garage and a recent inspection for storm damage, the homeowner wanted us to come out and see if there was enough damage to warrant an insurance claim. We were able to work with the homeowner's schedule, who was about to leave the country on a work trip, and able to get an appointment scheduled and begin the process for filing with the insurance company for a new roof replacement. This roof has a flat system that needed to be administered once the back section of the new roof was installed. We replaced all the gutters and balanced out with a triple layer of felt.
